Here’s the dilemma for Samsung: introduce the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S IV during MWC 2013 or wait to hold a Samsung Unpacked event in a well-respected city.  According to a few new rumors, the fourth generation of the Samsung Galaxy S lineup will be ready for launch in mid-April.  The venue of choice for the announcement of the Galaxy S IV remains to be seen.

Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S IV is known internally as the Altius and is under the specific codename of Project J.  The model number for the device will likely be the GT-I9500.  However, there is no official confirmation that the smartphone will be known as the Galaxy S IV or something different. Rumored features and capabilities include wireless charging, 4.99 inch 1080p display, Android 4.2, 2GB of RAM, Exynos Octa 5 processor, 13MP rear facing camera, 2MP front facing camera, 2600 mAh removable battery, and LTE.

The important news here is the fact that the fourth generation Samsung Galaxy S seems to be right around the corner.  In a couple of months we should definitively know what to expect in the device.  If Samsung is finally able to master the design and quality of the device, it could have a very strong contender on hand.
