gmail call feature

Today, we have some great news for those who regularly make calls through Gmail.  According to Google, the VoIP service within Gmail will remain free for calls placed in the United States and Canada.  Another attractive feature of making calls within the Gmail phone service is low and competitive international rates.

It seems each year Google announces that the calling feature will remain free.  I wonder if Google will ever simply announce that the service will remain free forever, or whether they plan to stop offering free calls within the United States and Canada.

With that being said, it is a great service for those without unlimited minutes or wish to make a call internationally.
