Android generally gets a bad rap when it comes to tablets, but if there is a bright spot in the Android tablet department, then it is the Nexus 7. According to a recent Wall Street Journal report, the Google Nexus 7 manufactured by Asus now sells one million units per month.
David Chang, CFO of Asus, informed the WSJ that sales of the Nexus 7 started at around 500,000 a month and steadily increased to 1 million units per month. While this may not approach iPad territory any time soon, it is nice to see consumers respond positively to a 7 inch tablet.
Here’s to hoping Google can continue the great sales trend with the 32GB Nexus 7 and the $399 Nexus 10.
