Verizon Wireless is now selling the LG Spectrum 2 for $99 on a two year contract for those interested in a solid mid-range Android 4.0 device. While it is disappointing that the Spectrum 2 is stuck on ICS, especially with Android 4.2 now official, it will hopefully be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in the near future.
Other specs and features of the Spectrum 2 include a 4.7 inch True HD display, 16GB of onboard memory, a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 4G LTE, 8MP rear facing camera, and a 1.3MP front facing camera. It also comes with NFC support that can be used in conjunction with LG’s Tag+ stickers to create programmable actions.
Again, the Spectrum 2 is currently available online for $99 on a two year contract. However, it will not launch in stores for another couple of weeks.
