Originally announced during Samsung’s Unpacked Event in late August, the Samsung Galaxy Camera will soon make its way to the American market via AT&T.
Samsung announced earlier today that AT&T will be the first carrier to launch the Galaxy Camera, which will use AT&T’s 4G LTE network. The Galaxy Camera is a powerful digital camera operating on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. While it features Internet connectivity, it does not feature voice capabilities. Therefore, it is not technically a phone, but a great camera option featuring Jelly Bean.
Unfortunately, Samsung nor AT&T provided an official launch date or pricing information for the Galaxy Camera. However, we can expect full information to be made available in the coming weeks.
In terms of hardware, there is a 16MP BSI CMOS rear camera with 21x optical zoom, 1080p HD video capture, 8GB of on board storage, 4.8 inch HD Super Clear LCD display, and a 1.4GHz quad-core processor. Lastly, it features Android 4.1, WiFi, 3G, and 4G LTE connectivity.
