Recent evidence suggests that Samsung may be preparing to launch the Galaxy S III in black. Currently, the Galaxy S III is offered in marble white and pebble blue — on AT&T it is also available in garnet red. I am sure there is a sizable percentage of consumers who would prefer a black Galaxy S III over the current offerings.
In any case, let’s take a look at where the black Galaxy S III evidence originates. First, Samsung posted a few pictures on its Facebook account of the Galaxy S III and the Olympic games in order to promote the device. If you take a look at the picture above, in particular, it looks black, unless it was a poor lighting job for the pebble blue variant. Perhaps more significantly is a leaked internal database for Carphone Wireless which lists the black Samsung Galaxy S III as its own model.
I would personally like to see the Galaxy S III offered in black, and if the above turns out to be true, then I think it is fair to say Samsung will unveil the model during its IFA Unpacked Event. Stay tuned, folks!
