Motorola plans on leaking some bits of information every day until Friday when it will announce its latest smartphone. Using Facebook, Motorola has already revealed that the phone operates on 4G LTE and will be fully revealed this Friday, August 10th.
With multiple recent Motorola DROID RAZR HD leaks, many are making the assumption that Motorola’s mystery 4G LTE phone is going to be the RAZR HD launching on Verizon Wireless. We’ve seen several leaks regarding the device, with a leak of its About Phone screen coming most recently. The DROID RAZR HD is expected to be similar to the ATRIX HD on AT&T and the previous DROID RAZR MAXX. The main difference over the RAZR MAXX will be an improved display, Android 4.0 on board, and a better processor.
We’ll follow the Facebook Motorola leak over the course of this week and report back with any further developments. In addition, be sure to check back on Friday to find out if the DROID RAZR HD is the mystery phone.
Update: According to TechRadar, Motorola reps have confirmed that the Facebook post is simply a game to guess a current Android smartphone. Therefore, it is not meant to be taken as a new phone Motorola is preparing to announce. Sorry for the false hope, folks, but we’ll follow this up to make sure it is a current device and not the elusive Motorola DROID RAZR HD.
