A recent update to the Firefox Android browser app brings a host of new improvements, with many targeted for Android tablets. Previously, Firefox was updated to work faster and more efficiently on smartphones, but now the same efficiency can be accessed on tablets running Firefox.
In addition, much of the UI was redesigned to take advantage of large tablet displays to make navigation and web browsing easier. The app now allows for the Awesome Screen which aggregates a user’s browsing history, passwords, bookmarks, and data in a convenient screen for quick access.
Other notable enhancements include Find in page, improved text selection, ability to request desktop sites from menu, and the ability to import bookmarks and history from the stock browser.
If the stock browser on your Android tablet simply isn’t getting the job done, then it may be worthwhile to give the new and improved Firefox Android app a spin.
