During the Samsung presentation at IFA 2012 today, the company touched briefly on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note 10.1.
Without revealing any specific dates, Samsung admitted the Jelly Bean update will roll out for the two high-end devices “very soon.” We’ve seen several leaked Jelly Bean builds for the Galaxy S III, so it’s no surprise that Samsung is almost ready to go. In addition, this information lines up nicely with the previous intel we had. While Samsung did not specifically mention the Galaxy Note, it appeared on the slide show presentation during the Android 4.1 bit, so it’s safe to assume the update for that device is well on its way as well.
Unfortunately, there was no mention of the Samsung Galaxy S II during the presentation, but hopefully Samsung is able to deploy the latest version of Android for that device as well.
