A couple of months ago, we heard that Amazon was planning on unveiling its Appstore to countries outside of the United States. Today, the online retail giant made good on its promise as the Appstore is currently available in several countries in Europe.
The Amazon Appstore is available in countries such as United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Users in Europe will have the same access to the Free app of the day which became a popular feature of the store in the United States. Now, the interesting part of Amazon choosing to launch the Appstore in Europe today as opposed to a few months earlier or later is to have it prepared right before the Kindle Fire 2 launch.
We know that the Kindle Fire launched only in the United States where Amazon’s App Store was initially available. However, with several European countries having access to the Appstore makes a global launch of the Kindle Fire 2 even more likely to occur.
