After being delayed by a couple of days, the Samsung Galaxy S III on Verizon Wireless is officially available for purchase starting today.  Interested customers can navigate to Verizon’s online store and place an order for the Galaxy S III (which will ship by July 16), or customers can visit their local Verizon retail store.

Out of the four major U.S. carriers, Verizon is the last to offer the Samsung Galaxy S III, but hey, it’s better late than never.  In terms of pricing, both color options are available in the 16GB model or 32GB model.  The 16GB model costs $199 on a two year contract and the 32GB model costs $249 on a two year contract.

Now, in case you want to mod your Galaxy S III, then you may not want to purchase the subsidized Galaxy S III from Verizon.  Instead, you will want to purchase the developer edition Galaxy S III from Samsung, which contains an unlockable bootloader, when it becomes available.
