Despite having launched with some delays in North America, the Samsung Galaxy S III is in stock across most carriers selling the device today.  Back in June, Samsung announced the Galaxy S III would reach 10 million sales by July and today a Samsung exec confirmed its previous proclamation.

According to a report from Yonhap News, Shin Jong-kyun announced the Galaxy S III sold more than 10 million times since its launch on May 29.  To put this feat in some perspective, the Galaxy S II took five months to reach the 10 million sales plateau, while the Galaxy S III accomplished it in less than two months.  Moreover, the Galaxy S III running Android 4.0 is poised to sell over 40 million times by the time 2012 is over.

The Samsung Galaxy S III runs on high-end hardware and will receive a boost in software when the Jelly Bean update is available.  Showing no signs of slowing down, the Galaxy S III will continue to be a hot seller going into the fall season.
