Here’s a quick programming note for the folks who have been wondering when AT&T would make the red version of the Samsung Galaxy S III available. The answer to your question is this month, or July 29 to be more precise.
AT&T announced today that its exclusive Garnet Red model of the Galaxy S III will go on sale July 29. Starting on Sunday, July 15, interested parties can walk into their local AT&T corporate store or visit http://www.att.com/galaxysiii and pre-order the device. I’m not sure if we’ll see the same level of heavy demand affecting demand for this particular model, but you can pre-order just to be on the safe side and make sure you have one waiting for you at the end of the month.
The Garnet Red model is available only at AT&T; all other carriers offer the Pebble Blue and Marble White. The Red model wasn’t originally available during the launch window but was promised for “later this summer,” which turned out to be only a three week difference since demand for the blue and white models were so high that Samsung couldn’t supply enough phones anyway. Anyone who already purchased an AT&T GS III thinking of making a switch?
Customers who have been waiting from the get-go, you can start the countdown clock now.
