T-Mobile USA 4G smartphones will be FREE on contract June 15 & 16

T-Mobile wants to send a special thanks to all the Papas, or anyone else walking into its stores later this week, across the United States. To celebrate Father’s Day, T-Mobile USA will host a “Thanks, Dad” promotion that puts all of its 4G phones at a sale price of free after rebate.

New customers and current subscribers eligible for an upgrade can visit a T-Mobile store this weekend to get a new phone free after rebate. On June 15 and 16, 2012 (Friday and Saturday), customers can select 4G phones like the HTC One S or Samsung Galaxy S II, though I’d like to remind you that you’re probably better off waiting for Galaxy S III that comes out in 2 weeks. The customer would pay $299 and then receive a $300 mail-in rebate card weeks later to make the phone free. Even better, customers in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Miami-Dade County, Florida can skip the mail in rebate hassle.

The usual caveats apply for this deal. You must be willing to sign a two-year agreement to get the phone for free, and you must be eligible for a new contract if you are an existing customer. Anyone willing and able can then select their desired 4G device and get a nice gift for dad or themselves.

“We want to say thanks to fathers for all they do and keep them easily and affordably connected to family throughout the entire year,” said Andrew Sherrard, senior vice president of marketing for T-Mobile USA. “Whether through voice calls, photos, texts, video conferencing or social media updates, T-Mobile’s ‘All Phones Free’ promotion provides families a great opportunity to get the latest cutting-edge smartphones running on lightning-fast speeds via America’s Largest 4G Network.”
