SwiftKey has updated its keyboard app to have several new features. It’s also made a temporary adjustment on an important feature, price, and put the app on sale for $1.99 for one week (regular price: $3.99).
A price drop alone is typically worth purchasing SwiftKey, and the additions made to version 3 solidify the sense in purchasing the alternative keyboard. SwiftKey 3 has a new “Smart Space” feature that will fix typos even if you miss spaces as you type. In other words, the app will recognize that “Helloeveyronewoh” should be “Hello everyone who” once you press the space button. The app does an incredible job of compensating for your typing mistakes.
Typing mistakes should also be lessened with the introduction of a new layout. The spacebar is now larger and punctuation keys are easier to reach. That’s in addition to the improved prediction engine that SwiftKey is constantly refining. Throw in a couple of new themes, bringing the total selection up to six, and SwiftKey is even more customizable now.
The latest version of SwiftKey also includes support for seven new languages, so more than a couple dozen are now available. Watch this demo video below and if it piques your interest, head to Google Play to grab the app while it’s still on sale.
