The Samsung Galaxy Nexus unlocked HSPA+ model is available for $349 off contract in the Google Play Store. Previously, the Android 4.0 smartphone sold for $399 in the Play Store, but the price was cut right as Google I/O began today at 12:30PM EST.
While we are not sure of the reasoning behind the price cut, it is always a nice gesture by Google and Samsung, and one that I’m sure will generate additional sales. The Galaxy Nexus is the only device (minus its related accessories) available in the Play Store at this moment, but it will soon be joined by the Nexus 7 and the Nexus Q.
Again, the Galaxy Nexus is available for $349 off contract, but remember it is the HSPA+ model that will work on AT&T and T-Mobile in the United States.
