T-Mobile has been noticeably slow in upgrading their lineup of high-end Android smartphones to Android 4.o (Ice Cream Sandwich). Most are still running Android 2.3 and only since the One S launched has T-Mobile finally had an Android 4.0 phone to boast about.
The HTC Sensation 4G, Samsung Galaxy S II, and HTC Amaze 4G are three smartphones that should have already been upgraded to Android 4.0, but alas, are still running Gingerbread. According to a leaked internal T-Mo document, these devices and others have received rumored target dates.
The Samsung Galaxy S II, assuming the document is true, is the first to receive the Android 4.0 update on May 14. After that, the Amaze and Sensation will each receive the update on June 16. Several high-end phones, such as the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide, Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, T-Mobile G2X by LG, and the myTouch 4G were not mentioned in the leak to receive Android 4.0. Hopefully, for the sake of these device owners, the update will come soon.
We will hopefully learn more in the next couple of weeks whether or not these rumored dates turn out to be true.
