Destinia – Equipment, Exploring, and Excavating dungeons keep old-school RPG fans happy [Game Review]

I, like many others, remember where I was and how I felt when I first play Final Fantasy. Maybe this is the reason a lot of us are die-hard RPG fans, and why we long for the simplistic 8-bit days. Thankfully, developers love them too, and we’re blessed by Gamevil’s love for every game-type, especially RPGs, especially Destinia.
I don’t think I need to explain the plot of an RPG, but in Destinia you’re a rogue knight, outcast by his mentor, searching for your love, and trying to save the world. During your adventures you will meet many characters and defeat more creatures. Destinia’s plot is not overly complex, but it does progress the game while throwing in a few twists and turns.
Gameplay in Destinia is fantastic. The attack button is surrounded by your spells, special attacks, and items, all laid out in an easy-to-use interface. There is a mini-map in the top left which comes in very handy throughout the game. It doesn’t exactly show you where to go, but important events or dialogues will show up as exclamation points so you don’t lose hours of your life trying to find where to go next. Your status (HP and MP) and a nice quick-save button round out the rest of the on-screen UI.
To begin the game, you choose a character class (warrior, thief, or gunner), and eventually these classes diverge again into an attack or magic prone type, depending on your choice. There are tons of mini-quests and dungeons to explore, but the coolest part of Destinia is the changing armor and weapons. Many old-school RPG players will tell you they love to see their character change looks depending on what armor they’re wearing or which weapon they’re wielding. Destinia, even being an 8-bit style game, has hundreds or thousands of different equipment to change the look of your character.
Destinia is a well polished game, though I would like to see a bit more sharpness to the overall look of the game. I know it’s meant to be a little pixelated, but Gamevil could tighten it up a bit more. Also, you can’t tap the controls too fast or it won’t register. I do want Xperia Play controls for this game despite the nice, spread-out touchscreen controls. I didn’t notice any bugs*, and the overall quality of Destinia is what any smartphone RPG should strive for.
Destinia is an RPGer’s dream. Quests are plentiful, equipment is abundant, and dungeon monsters are around every corner. Leveling up is quick and simple, and you are graciously given the opportunity to save before any boss battle. Gamevil has given us another great game, and I’m extremely happy to have another RPG to play on Android.

Destinia is reallu great RPG game. If it were not free I certainly wouldnt regret money spent on it. Reminded of those great times when spent hours playing different PRGs))

i cant change my sword when i am the thief… why i cant do that? my lvl is okay and all other points are okay but i cant equip it-.-
maybe it´s not identified, you have to use identification thing on it, then it should equip
There are two different kind of swords, swords and great swords they’d can not use great sword I hope mine or his reply help you.
Yeah, the bug is for all healing itens on the second page for creation
can somebody help me with the quest "thwat the resurrection"? i explored all places in maps, but can't find where to fulfill this quest. i'm stuck.
Thwart the resurrection is past the boss battle in the last cave after beating said boss there’s a door way on top of the same room
There are several bugs thru out the game when it comes to making weapon armor or potions I been able to reproduce massive amounts n resell of items ie I’m on level 50 n have been able to makes as many lvl 50 sword n armors as I’ve wanted
1 last thing if u go into multiplayer thn the auction house you can buy powerful weapons n armors pets ect cheap players can post items they found in game and sell them for in game money really cool found gr8 deals good luck if anymore help needed londoneastwood@yahoo.com

The bug is any item on an even numbered page. If you have the materials for one you can craft unlimited amounts.
Man wish I could sell my gold lol I’d give a much better deal then gamevil is offering, i cant believe they only give you 200,000 for $10 in the cash store lol bare minimum should be 500,000 at least. What are your guys thoughts? Love the game, the auction house is awesome!!!

I’m lost in this game. I’m in ferimon but I need to get to the resistence camp to continue. I’m going around in circles. They need to provide an overall destinia world map to so players can see where everything is in relation to each other :/ . (If someone could help btw it would be greatly appreciated )
You have a world map. just click on the area map in the top left corner of your screen and it will show you the exact path to where you want to go. i’ve beaten the game 4 times, working on getting other classes to lvl 99

I was looking for people with extra gold or items (that could maybe hack, can you?) to help me out, I agree, it’s way too hard for me to be always giving away money and stuff… And actually, I’m really busy, I’ve got 3 homework assignments and an Honors project waiting for me! Nebbs mI’m really confuse about the game coz I have bought sum equipments on multi mode and I find sum gems scketed on lvl 30 equip are str 6 when I tried socketing gems on other equips it only adds str 2 is it a hacked or there is a trick for it
