The time of the year that so many Americans look forward to is upon us. The days are getting shorter, the evening colder, and there is the smell of leather in the air. That’s right, it’s almost Football season. For many people, that means it’s time to prepare for the your fantasy league, and the NFL is looking to help out.
The NFL has officially launched the new version of their Fantasy Football app. This new version is redesigned and refreshed for the 2011 season. This app is designed for use with the fantasy game hosted on NFL.com, which will shut out some players.
Some players may be wondering why they would want a mobile app. Beyond the obvious reason of being able to monitor your fantasy team while you watch the real teams play, you get the ability to:
- Join or create a league
- Check live fantasy scoring
- Sit/Start and Add/Drop players
- Propose and accept trades
- Read up-to-the minute player news
- Manage teams in multiple leagues
If you play fantasy football through the NFL, then this app is probably a must grab. Personally, I don’t understand the nuances of fantasy leagues enough to be serious about this sort of thing. However, the app looks nice on my phone, and seems like it has a nice feature set.
Any fantasy players want to share their thoughts on this app? We would love to hear them! Leave us a comment below and get your voice heard!
