Ustream-Honeycomb

Those of you out there who are currently using a Android Honeycomb-equipped tablet, you’ve probably had to stop yourself from gritting your teeth down to its bone marrow from the lack of apps. To a lot users dismay, there just aren’t that many good applications that have been optimized for the tablet form factor.

But today is a new day, and Honeycomb users can rejoice because they’re finally getting a new app worth the press in Ustream. The popular video service lets users stream their content live to the web for free and it’s now streaming to on a large scale.

When you download the app, you’ll be pretty amazed as to how well polished it is. You can watch both live and archived content, and, in a feature that may lead to a major increase of mobile streams, you can upload live from your tablet as well — which really takes advantage of the camera functionality on these Honeycomb tablets.

Another impressive thing worth noting is Ustream’s social features. Honeycomb users will have the ability to indulge in a real-time stream of comments and run polls directly from the app. These features are all available on supported phones, so there isn’t any half stepping going on with the new update to tablets.

I must say this is a pretty good app, and I hope this is the beginning of much more to come. Let’s be honest, Android tablets need to step their game up when it comes to delivering all the top apps users have become use to with their smart-phones. Go head over to the Android Market here and download the app and report back to us your experience.
