Android Market lead Eric Chu announced during Google I/O that Google will be adding paid apps support to 99 additional countries. That will bring the total of countries that support paid apps from 32 to 131. That’s quite the jump considering that only 14 nations supported paid Android apps in September 2010.

Many of our international readers immediately asked which specific countries would be able to access paid apps. One of those readers found a complete list of countries with support for paid apps in the Android Market and decided to share with the Androinica community.

I went through the list quickly and removed 32 names that I recognized as already being able to buy Android apps. That, of course, left me with the names of the 99 countries joining the party. Chu announced that the Android Market will update over the next week in dozens of countries across the globe, so there’s no need to obsessively monitor your phone. Just give it time and get ready to buy some apps!
