The LG Revolution has been a coveted phone since it debuted at CES 2011 in January, and the Verizon 4G LTE capable device will finally arrive in stores this May. Verizon Wireless has just announced that the LG Revolution will arrive in stores this week, selling for $249 on a two-year agreement.

The LG Revolution is a Verizon 4G LTE phone that can reach speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps downloads and 2 to 5 Mbps uploads depending on location. Powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor and a customized version of Android 2.2, the LG Revolution will join the ranks of 4G with several media enhancements. Aside from coming with Dolby Mobile audio sounds and being able to record 720p HD video, there’s an image editor that can apply filters and add elements.

Familiar specs like a Mobile Hotspot, Adobe Flash, and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera are also present. Also popping up is the old Bing Search and Maps inclusion. Verizon signed a deal with Microsoft to pre-load Bing on its phones, but a string of releases like the Droid Charge and Thunderbolt favored Google search and Maps. The LG Revolution bucks the trend.

The Verizon LG Revolution goes on sale Thursday, May 26, for $249 on a two-year agreement. We originally wondered why single core phones cost so much, and assumed that it was because of 4G LTE. Based on the cost of the Thunderbolt and Charge, that appears to be the case. Here’s a short list of specs for the LG Revolution.
