NVIDIA is the lead name for the next generation of Android processors, and the chipmaker has released a new app to show why. With its new Tegra Zone app, NVIDIA highlights all of the best Android games available for the Motorola Xoom and other Tegra 2-based products.

Tegra Zone acts a portal for games that have been built to take advantage of NVIDIA’s dual-core processor and GeForce GPU. The app has a Spotlight section that reveals game prices, descriptions, trailers, news, and reviews from professional sources. All download links then point directly to the Android Market, which allows users to see a curated listing of the best apps but still have their downloads and purchases managed through the official Android app distribution point.

Anyone with a device capable of running NVIDIA’s “super chip” should download Tegra Zone now and see all of the titles optimized for it. Considering that the Tegra 2 is slated to appear on most of the high-end devices slated for release soon, you can count on it being a destination for prime gaming.
