Leaked Netflix app can now stream video

UPDATE: So much for that! Netflix has already disabled the feature hours after it was discovered.

Here is the original article

There has been a lot of speculation about whether or not Netflix would be available on certain devices, or even compatible with certain processors, but at least that second part should be answered. We still don’t know about (official) availability, but we can now confirm that the leaked Netflix app can stream video.

I tested it out on the bus ride home today, and over T-Mobile 3G on my Nexus One (running stock Gingerbread), the app worked quite well with almost no lag. When there was any quick movement, the image tended to blur and pixelate, so it may not be the best option for watching action scenes, but it was perfect for watching The Cosby Show. When I got home, I fired it up over WiFi and the picture was crystal clear.

As I usually tend to mention, users should be warned that the app clocks in at close to 20 MB, and has no option to be moved to SD storage. Otherwise, if you want to give it a shot, just click through to the XDA forum.
