My HTC EVO 4G has taken a serious beating since I bought it last June. Nine months worth of accidental drops and errant keys have lead to a scratched-up EVO that doesn’t look as beautiful as it should.
That’s why I was happy to stumble across NLU, an accessories company that makes protective skins for the HTC EVO 4G, Motorola Droid X, Motorola Xoom, and several other Android phones and tablets. NLU’s BodyGuardz caught my attention with its Armor Carbon Fiber Skin, a durable PVC film that is thin to prevent bulk but tough enough to prevent scratches. And while the protection aspect is great, what really attracts me is the look of the carbon fiber. The woven film looks great when the light hits the device, and multiple people noted how cool my EVO looks once the BodyGuardz skin is applied.
Other cool products from BodyGuardz include standard screen protectors and a special film that provides extra privacy when using your Android phone in public places. The Screenguardz Privacy Screen Protector is a four-way screen dimmer that will make it difficult for people on the left or right to see what you are watching. The Motorola Droid X, Samsung Fascinate, and HTC EVO 4G and Desire are the only Android products currently supported for the privacy film.
Here’s a short demo showing the BodyGuardz skins.
