It seems like there have been a lot of big name app updates in the last couple days, and Yelp doesn’t want to be left out of the news feed. They pushed out an update today that only brought one change, but it was a pretty big one: reservations via Opentable.
For those of you addicted to Yelp’s homepage, this is nothing new, since Yelp.com has been offering reservations through their partnership with Opentable since June of last year. But, for mobile users, this should make Yelp quite a bit more useful. As always, Yelp is a great way to find and rate restaurants, but now with Opentable you can book a reservation for up to 20 people. Of course, you have to hope that your preferred restaurant is also signed up with Opentable.
