According to the Grand Rapids Best Buy Facebook page, the much-anticipated Honeycomb tablet Motorola Xoom will be released on February 24. That’s one week later than the previously rumored February 17th release date. Google’s Honeycomb event at Mountain View earlier this week strongly indicated that Android 3.0 is ready for prime time, so the Xoom could definitely arrive in a couple of weeks.
In late January, a leaked Verizon document suggested that the Motorola Xoom would receive a $799.99 price tag – a bit steep, but the price will likely be lower when the Xoom actually lands.
The folks behind Best Buy’s Facebook page also took the opportunity to state a launch date for the 4.3-inch HTC Thunderbolt: February 14 (Valentine’s Day). Other notable features of the Thunderbolt, besides the huge screen, are Verizon LTE support, an 8MP shooter and a 1GHz second-gen Snapdragon processor.
So, is anyone excited about possibly rocking a cutting-edge Motorola Xoom Honeycomb tablet in three weeks?
