Unlike the hollow promises of Gingerbread for the Nexus One before, this one actually has some merit to it, namely because some lucky people have actually gotten the OTA pushed out to them already. The trouble is that Google has said that it “may take a few weeks for OTA to complete.”
It also looks like the rumors were true that Google was working to fix the random reboot issue before pushing Gingerbread to the Nexus One, because that bug has finally been squashed with 2.3.3. This is good news for all you Nexus S owners, because that is a bug fix you’ve been waiting on for a while.
If you get the update, let us know. Everyone else, just do like me and keep calling *#*#checkin#*#* (which I’ve done 3 times while writing this article alone.)
