You can control Android with your voice via Google’s own Voice Actions, but Vlingo offers an excellent third-party alternative, and it’s free as well. Today, Vlingo announced a partnership with BlueAnt Wireless – a company headquartered in Australia that designs Bluetooth devices and accessories.
Vlingo will provide a free and completely integrated app that pairs its voice-control software with BlueAnt’s products.
The idea is that you will be able to simply speak into one of BlueAnt’s Bluetooth headsets to control your Android. Supported actions include replying to emails and text-messages, making social network updates, performing searches, and leaving voice-to-text notes, and more.
The BlueAnt app powered by Vlingo will be available free of charge on Android for all BlueAnt products in Q1 2011.
