Google updates their mobile Weather site, feels more ‘appish’

Today, Google announced via their Google Mobile Blog that they have just updated their mobile Weather search page. The update is definitely a refinement to the former weather search page and makes Google mobile weather results feel more like a native app than something in the browser.
If you go to your browser and search for ‘weather’ you will be presented with the new styling. The page features a slider that allows you to scan what the weather will be like based on the time. The color of the page also changes between darker and lighter tones when changing the time later into the evening; nothing groundbreaking, but definitely something that is polished and thoughtful. Users can also choose their location via a dropdown location box, or if you have location-based browsing turned on the browser will take care of it. And, of course, the rest of your search results are after the weather topper.
I have to say that it’s definitely an iterative update that doesn’t change much of the functionality, yet makes the page feel more alive and new. Google said that they “[wanted] to build a fun, useful, app-like way to display weather information on [their] search results pages in the mobile browser.” Looks like they have accomplished the task. Now all they need to work on is changing the weather in northwest Pennsylvania to anything above 25°.

sign in your google account using your mobile web browser and set your country…… took me sometime to figure it out. if you dunno how to set your country, no worries, after login, search "weather country" (without the quotes), e.g if you are from Singapore, search "weather Singapore", result will come out with some sponsored ad then comes the appish weather forecast!!! works great!
hmmm funny… i got it right at first try. try this, enable "share device location" or set the location to your country.
or you can browse to http://www.google.com, sign in your google account, set your country. click on igoogle below, see if there is a "weather" link. click it, it will show you the weather, click on the country shown and you will see the appish thing
