NASA 360

A few weeks ago, NASA released its first Android app in the Market. It’s called NASA Spinoff – a client for NASA’s yearly publication about successfully commercialized NASA technology. One of the app’s highlights is a cool time-line of NASA inventions.

Fellow space nerds rejoice, because NASA has now launched its second Android app: NASA 360. It gives you full access to the show of the same name, which is a half-hour video podcast that airs on over 450 TV stations across America. NASA 360 is meant to encourage people to pursue work in the fields of technology, science, and engineering, and it tries to illustrate how NASA has changed life on Earth.

The app even gives us all associated documentation and episode transcripts. NASA 360 is available for free in the Market, and it’s just a 300KB download.

NASA 360 is an award-winning television program enjoyed by millions. Now catch every episode in the palm of your hand, along with transcripts, interactive maps with more information on each filming location, cast and crew bios, and even a quiz to test your knowledge and how close you’ve been paying attention to the show!
