Voicemail is great for leaving messages when someone can’t answer their phone, but the receiver sometimes runs into limitations. YouMail is an Android app and phone service designed to break from those constraints. Users can have a list of messages, set how long messages are stored, and change greeting profiles at their leisure.
You can even browse the list on your phone or online because YouMail offers voice-to-text conversion that can be read online or their phones. It’s similar to Google Voice’s transcription service because YouMail can notify through SMS or email when a new message arrives. The difference between the two services is that YouMail provides human-sourced transcriptions rather than the computer-based service from Google that can be prone to mistakes.
Human transcription is part of a part of a premium package available from YouMail. Press Menu > Help > Turn off Ads to learn which plan is best for you. We’re giving 5 free copies of YouMail Read-It Basic Annual, which offers up to 50 human transcriptions per month. To enter, simply make a comment about funny communication you had over the holidays – this year or previous – below and we’ll select someone at random.
