Samsung has reached two important milestones recently. First, the company announced today that it has shipped more than 3 million Galaxy S phones, and even sold 1 million units of its Galaxy Tab Android tablet.
According to an announcement from Samsung America, Gartner reported that Samsung was the top Android manufacturer in Q3 2010, selling more Android phones to end users in the United States than any of its rivals. Gartner reports that Samsung sold 32.1 percent of Android phones purchased in the U.S. last quarter, and Samsung naturally credits the Galaxy S line of products for that feat.
Meanwhile, Samsung has also sold more than 1 million units of the Galaxy Tab according to ChoSun. In two months, the Tab has already passed 2010 expectations, leading Samsung to suggest that it will sell 1.5 million units before the year closes. More than 100,000 units were sold in South Korea alone.
