Many people were surprised when the Godfather of Android – Andy Rubin, suddenly pulled out a yet-to-be-announced Tegra 2 tablet by Motorola and brought us some Honeycomb goodness at Monday’s Dive Into Mobile conference. He demonstrated the next, vector-based version of Google Maps in particular, but we also got to see quite a bit of Android 3.0 Honeycomb in general.

A photographer called Asa Mathat attended the conference and luckily managed to get a few good pictures of the Motorola tablet that’s called Everest for the time being.

Here’s the Andy Rubin Honeycomb video again for those who missed it yesterday – as mentioned earlier, Rubin shows Google Maps, but also Gmail and the Honeycomb launcher: it’s definitely worth watching.
