One of the big complaints I had in my original story about Pocket God was that the game is huge. There is a ton of content, but the problem was that it clocked in at almost 21MB, and didn’t allow for moving to SD. That has been fixed in the new 1.0.1 update.
The new update also includes a confirmation dialog when using the back button to exit the app, and a progress bar on the loading screen. The progress bar is a nice addition, because the loading screen can seem to drag on forever. But, the real win is moving the app to the SD card, which drops the storage use from almost 21MB to just under 2.5MB. So, if you’ve been waiting on Pocket God because you’re strapped for space on internal memory, this is your chance to give it a try.
Now, the major thing they need to work on for the next update is to keep the game in memory and not have to restart any time you need to jump back to the homescreen, or switch apps.
