Kindle for Android is Amazon’s official e-reader app that lets you enjoy over 750 000 Kindle books on your Android phone, including thousands of free titles.

Version 2.0 of the app has just been uploaded to the Market, and it grants access to Amazon’s library of more than 100 magazines and newspapers. Other new features include social network integration for sharing your reading progress, page navigation using your hardware volume buttons, a zoom option for graphics, and a fine-tuned UI that shows chapter titles in the app’s status bar.

Finally, users who live in constant fear of the “phone storage is getting low” notification will be happy to know that Kindle for Android now can be installed to the SD card. The e-reader app can be grabbed for free in the Market.
