StumbleUpon is a service for discovering new photos, videos and websites. It makes unique recommendations based on your preferences, and also based on the preferences of other users who share your interests. When you rate and comment on the suggested content, StumbleUpon further learns your taste, sort of in the same manner as Last.FM does.
The Android version of StumbleUpon has been out for awhile now, and its latest update adds an interesting feature: App Discovery. It aims to help you discover cool apps by taking a look at all the applications you already have installed. Then it checks for similar apps, and apps installed by similar users, and makes software recommendations that you’ll hopefully enjoy. The App Discovery feature is in beta, so your mileage may vary.
Other changes in the latest version of StumbleUpon include speed boosts, bug fixes and the ability to follow users from the app.
