Sony Ericsson’s rumored PlayStation Phone, which we’ve seen a prototype of in a series of pictures, just might be revealed at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February next year. When asked about the Android-powered gaming handset in an interview with Wall Street Journal, Sony Ericssons’s Swedish CEO Bert Nordberg said “there’s a lot of smoke, and I tell you there must be a fire somewhere.”
He also told the newspaper that “the future might be brighter” when asked why the company hasn’t released a PlayStation-branded phone yet. Nordberg further alluded to the device and to its unveiling by stating that Sony Ericsson is going to make plenty of “noise” at Mobile World Congress in 2011.
The CEO may of course have meant that Sony Ericsson will announce the 4.3-inch Anzu X12 and not the PlayStation Phone – but hey, why not both? Do you think we’ll see the PlayStation Phone in all its gaming glory at MWC in a few months, or will SE keep pretending it doesn’t exist a while longer?
