An anonymous tipster has been spreading photos in the tech blogosphere this morning of what is claimed to be Motorola’s rumored high-end Android device the Olympus. It will rock Nvidia’s dual-core Tegra 2: a system-on-a-chip that is all the rage these days and that will bring twice as fast web browsing and a vastly improved gaming experience over current Androids.
Judging from the photos, the screen of this Motorola device appears to be somewhere between 4 – 4.3 inches, and in the upper-left corner of the phone is something that could be a front-facing camera. An insider has reported that Motorola will try to sell as many copies of the Olympus as possible by making it available on multiple carriers, and not only on Verizon like previous high-end Androids by Motorola in the U.S.
The Olympus is expected to be revealed at CES in Las Vegas on January 6th, but hopefully we’ll get plenty of more details before then.
