Putting Android 2.2 in a decent piece of hardware at a great price will apparently do wonders for your sales reports. LG has announced today that it has sold 1 million units of its Optimus One line. Yes, 1 million.
Available at a variety of carriers in different countries, the Optimus One has been a strong seller in the past month and a half. The phone tends to be sold at very reasonable prices, whether on contract or off, which is likely the reason for these sales. LG has touted the Optimus One as stylish and affordable, and consumers appear to agree.
U.S. customers can purchase this phone on Sprint as the Optimus S, on T-Mobile as the Optimus T, or Verizon as the LG Vortex. The phone has Android 2.2, a 3.2-inch screen, and a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus and Flash. With the holiday shopping season approaching, LG could be announcing another benchmark soon.
