Froyo update for European HTC Legends now available
November 15, 2010 | by Lars Aronsson
Firmware updates, HTC
A couple of weeks ago, HTC announced via its Facebook page that unbranded HTC Legends would receive Android 2.2 in the coming weeks, and that carrier-branded editions of the device would get Froyo shortly thereafter.
Just as promised, HTC has now started to release the Froyo upgrade for the Legend in Europe. Oddly enough, it seems that branded versions of the device actually is getting the good stuff first, contrary to what HTC stated in its announcement. Vodafone users are said to be first in line.
The update is released over-the-air and has a size of 82.88MB, and will bring the full Android 2.2 Sense experience that HTC Desire users enjoy. Has any lucky Legend owners out there gotten the update yet?

*grabbing the phone* *connecting to wifi* *checking for update* "Your phone is up to date" FUCK ! Nothing in Belgium so far … keeping looking for the update
Thanks for announcing the release
Works a treat, faster, better, stronger !! Very happy. Better texting, email, video playback. Like the new update in marketplace and the WiFi hot spot.
Us australian's will probably have to wait until last
i was wondering if someone @androinica's staff manage to get informations on why only Vodafone and SFR branded Legend got the update. Mine is 100% free of any carrier since it's forbidden in Belgium to sell a phone and a abonnement all in one pack. HTC should have been able to give us our update before branded one.
@poupoune: Wondering about the same thing; I'm in Denmark, totally unbranded Legend; phone says no update available
SFR released the Legende upgrade yesterday. Installed it today, works great! Wifi hotspot works, and the phone is much faster now.
Just received Froyo update here in Malaysia on my HTC Legend on 8-Jan-2011. Somehow, my phone's responds are much slower than before. Example: previewing picture/video (it is so slow as if it won't come up), clicking on either the "Phone" for calling or the "message" for sms, there is an obvious delay. Any idea how to speed things up? Thanks in advance!
