According to details leaked from an internal company presentation, Dell is working on a follow-up to the 5-inch Streak. The device is codenamed Opus One, and is said to feature a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor that might be from Qualcomm’s second-generation Snapdragon series. The capacitive touchscreen will supposedly still be 5-inches, just like on the Streak, but with a higher 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Finally, the source says that Dell has plans to release this big-screened beast in March 2011, four months from now.
Like all rumors, this one should be taken with a grain of salt, as the Opus One may never make it to the market. However, with all the upcoming high-resolution screens, second-generation Snapdragon processors, dual-core Orion and Tegra2 CPUs, massive amounts of RAM and powerful GPUs – 2011 is destined to take the hardware of Android phones to the next level.
