A few lucky T-Mobile G2 owners seem to have gotten an OTA update that brings goodies such as Wi-Fi calling and native Internet tethering. The upgrade reportedly also includes a new radio and lets you update Google Goggles, among other things. Some members at the xda-developers forum hope that this update somehow will enable permanent root as well, but that remains to be seen. The number of people that have actually received the upgrade appears to be limited thus far, so T-Mobile is probably doing a limited test before making it available to everyone.
Has anyone received the update yet? What’s new?
