A couple of days ago, a rumor about a new high-end Android from HTC that supposedly was going to be called the Knight emerged. The device is still wrapped in mystery, and little is known besides that it’s headed for Sprint (and most likely other places as well) and packs capacitive touchscreen buttons below its display.
The source of the image to the left provided an XML file as well that tells users not to “slide screen in/out” during activation, which suggests that the device also will feature some sort of sliding hinge. That could mean it has a hardware QWERTY keyboard, but since HTC just has released a similar looking Windows Phone 7 handset that rocks a slide-out speaker – who knows?
A little more info has been unveiled courtesy of Boy Genius Report that implies that the HTC Knight in fact will be called HTC Speedy, and according to a leaked list of accessories, a case for it will be available on January 6th: the first day of the Consumer Electronics Show CES. We’ll be keeping an eye on this story and post more info as it appears.
