Samsung Media Hub brings TV and Movies to Galaxy Tab, Galaxy S

Samsung, Tablets
Samsung invited a large group of journalists and bloggers to visit its New York City store and see the unveiling of Media Hub. The house was packed, and in many ways, so is Samsung Media Hub.
Launched tonight for Samsung Galaxy S devices, Media Hub is a content center that houses a variety of video entertainment options. There are television episodes for TV addicts, and a large library of movies available for enhancing the media experience on the Samsung Galaxy Tab and Galaxy S phones.
Tonight was the coming out party for the Galaxy Tab in the U.S., and the previously-seen-at-IFA tablet will work well with Media Hub. The 7-inch tablet with phone capabilities is heavily geared towards content consumption, however the Android Market is heavy on apps and light on the entertainment works that a device of this nature can use to its advantage. That’s where Media Hub comes in; here’s what we’ve learned about it so far tonight.
- It’s a cloud-based media streaming option. Users will be able to purchase a television episode or movie and watch it on multiple devices
- New releases and libraries will be available for purchase or rent. You will also be able to get TV episodes the next day after original air date, so wake up and watch 30 Rock on the way to work Friday morning.
- Share purchased content with up to 5 devices with Media Hub. Watch on Galaxy Tab, your Epic 4G, and your kids can watch on their Vibrant, Captivate, or Fascinate.
- AllShare to use DLNA media sharing from tablet to other compatible devices
- NBC, MTV, and Paramount are among the companies named as content partners. Looks like you won’t be able to escape Jersey Shore here either.
UPDATE
The Galaxy Tab does not support phone calls in the U.S. version. Click here to view a hands-on of Media Hub, exclusive to the U.S.

If the media hub. Jumped off tonight. Why can. I get mine to work . I’ve system updat and still nothing. What should I try next
Why would I buy another Samsung product? They seem to keep pushing these devices out wothout fixing the bugs on their current devices! I have a Samsuing Vibrant and keep getting told that the GPS fix will be out the end of September. Now that's being pushed out farther. Their secrecy sucks! Screw Samsung. I am asking for a refund today! Waring to those of you thinking of purchasing these devices! They have bugs and no fixes in the future. If you use GPS don't count on it working!
it was fixed mine now works perfectly
the captivate had the gps fix last week.
michael petrillo its called doing it urself lol. just google samsung vibrant gps fix. there is an easy step by step process to fix that which doesnt involve rooting your fone. i love my vibrant lol and even more now that i pwned the gps problem
not sure if im right but every phones are different i just boght vibrant yesterday and still wouldnt show up, tried going into system update ut it sasy no firmware, im guessing samsung will update the system hopefully this month sometimes
lol just bought my virant yesterday and my gps is fine, no problem at all, the only thing i need is the media hub thats it, im urious when will it come out
Samsung hub sucks. I bought Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for my kids. It said download complete. But the file was corrupt. It wouldn't play all the way through. That was my first and last purchase. I'll wait for Netflix streaming.
