Here’s a quick tidbit from the always eagle-eyed folks over at TMONews. While everyone is going crazy, or being disappointed depending on who you ask, about the pending launch of the T-Mobile G2, David and crew have received a tip on the likely pricing of the T-Mobile G2.
Surprise! Surprise! The G2 is slated to hit the U.S. market for the now standard smartphone price of $199 with a two year contract. The off-contract price could be $499 based on the leaked screenshot. Anyone who was considering purchasing the G2 can all but confirm that he/she will be 200-500 bills lighter soon.
The G2 is rumored to be sold in late September or early October. It features a new 1 GHz processor, physical QWERTY keyboard, and a stock version of Android 2.2. Click here for previous articles about the leaks for the T-Mobile G2.
