Android 2.2 Froyo update for the Samsung Galaxy S in the UK gets delayed till mid October

Firmware updates, Samsung
Last week, T-Mobile UK announced that customers rocking the Samsung Galaxy S would be able to enjoy the much longed-for Android Froyo update before the end of September. However, just like Sony Ericsson did with the Android 2.1 update for its X10-series, T-Mobile UK now tells us that UK Galaxy S owners patiently have to wait a maximum of two more weeks for Froyo to arrive.
According to well-informed sources, the Galaxy S Android 2.2 upgrade is indeed finished, and if that’s correct, Samsung likely wants to do further testing to make sure the ROM is faultless before releasing it to the public.

It'd be faultless if it didn't use RFS…
ext4 is the way forward
the update is on smasung kies.but it does the apps and adds a task manager puts on GPS and updates you tube mobile to full site
is it the 2.2 Froyo update?
It would be nice if samsung could update kies or implement an over the air update, as many galaxy s owners are having issuesgetting the galaxy to connect to kies at all.
if they expect us to keep waiting, they better make it ext4. but i guess, programmers at samsung are probably not up to scratch. SAMSUNG…hire voodoo, cos ur devs are USELESS.
I do not use samsung kies since it was so buggy, and now I run ubuntu not windows. How do I get the update?
Fak Kies. What a bullshit piece of buggy software with unimaginable useless features. Think of all the hassle this software has caused, and the loads og Galaxy S unable to connect because of the extremely bugged MTP application. What a load of c rap
