Privacy Star keeps annoying folks off your Android phone. Win a FREE copy [CONTESTS]

I don’t know who had my number before I inherited it back in 2008, but he or she ran afoul of some very persistent Spanish-language telemarketers. I randomly get calls from numbers I’m unfamiliar with and wish I could ignore them, but my line of work doesn’t really gel with the act of hanging up on people without hearing what they have to say first.
Privacy Star is an Android 1.6+ app that can help cut down on the time smartphone users have to interact with undesired phone calls. Previously seen on BlackBerry, Privacy Star is available on Android, offering the same opportunity to block unwanted calls, see caller ID for unknown callers, and report annoying telemarketers who violate the Do Not Call list. It can also block numbers so you don’t hear from that particular person again.
There is a 7-day trial of PrivacyStar available in the Android Market, but it costs $2.99 per month to continue using the service once the trial expires. As luck would have it, PrivacyStar has agreed to give away four subscriptions to our readers. Three people will get a free 3-month subscription to Privacy Star, and one person will get to experience the service for 1 entire year for the low, low price of $0.00.
What you do you have to do enter? Simple. Just try the app and leave a comment in this article. We will return to this thread in 7 days and randomly select four people to win the prize.

Seems to work well.
I could really use this but can't really drop $3 for it.
this sounds awesome! I would love to have this…
$3 a MONTH? ridiculous. And using Verizon, I can block 5 numbers and 5 email addresses, domains AND text message originators, too.
FOR FREE!
It's a good app works as advertised but $3 a month is steep. Callfilter app is free and blocks calls.
Oh my god. I need this. Whoever had my number before had a lot of dumbass friends in college and telemarketers. I will love you if I get a free copy.
Me,Me,Me Please Me,Me,ME
Doesn't Droidblock do this for free?
This app works pretty good to my surprise. Great for unwanted calls such as bill collectors, solicitors and unwanted ex's!
Just installed it. Can't wait to try it out on one of the most annoying telemarketers ever…. a politician.
I'd so rather pay $20 bucks one time then a subscription service, but these mothers are so annoying it might come down to that. I'm definitely installing the trial to give it a whirl.
DOES IT BLOCK ANONYMOUS
Pft.. It is worth $3/mo. Please. If you can't afford $3/mo, you can't afford a smartphone. I had Privacy Star when I had a Blackberry and it was the one app I missed terribly when I got an Incredible. I have never found another like it. Block any and all calls or block groups of calls. I have never found another app that will block anonymous, blocked and unknown callers for those that argue you can block calls through Verizon or through Android itself. Try doing that when there is no number to block. Also super handy when you don't recognize the number – Privacy Star looks it up. Anyone who thinks $3/mo is too much either doesn't have use of this app or hasn't tried it. Thanks for making it avail on Android and of course, I already purchased it.
Sounds great but $3 a month? No thanks. I’ll keep using Mr. Call block for free. Works good enough for me!
i have an andriod,but i can't
get da restricted calls number to show up,what should i do
Its not that $3 is a lot, but why pay for this when other apps offer the same service for absolutely free!!!
