Evernote adds widgets, bug fixes, and promises offline note storage

Evernote hasn’t made Android a priority and they know it. But Evernote, which happens to be one of the most popular productivity and lifestyle services around, is working hard to remedy that with updates to its Android application.
Evernote has added a widget to the homescreen that provides immediate access to common functions within the app. Rather than opening Evernote and searching or creating a written, photo, or voice note, users can just tap the corresponding function on the homescreen.
Also available is pinch-to-zoom support for written notes, provided that you are running Evernote on a phone with Android 2.1 or higher. You can also use Android’s “Share” function, take advantage of better note caching, and coming soon: offline note storage. It took them long enough, but at least it’s coming.
Here’s a list of other fixes according to Evernote:
- Fixed a problem that kept an edited note from updating properly
- Fixed a problem that removed intentional white space within notes
- Added higher resolution iconography (Android 2.1 and later)
- Placed the Save button onscreen on the audio notes screen
- Fixed a problem that kept the app from loading tags properly

oh wow goody, high resolution icons but still cant save notes locally to the SD cards. Evernote still sucks ass big time.
