The Samsung Galaxy S is probably being released in non-Asian countries next month, and it’s now going through the dissection rites of passage that all new tech products must endure. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S tab that we saw recently has had some rumored specs added to the upcoming slate.
GALAXY TAB RUMORS
Vietnamese site Tinh te has spoken with an unnamed source to get some rumored specs on the Galaxy Tab. For one, the source calls it the “Tape” even though the official Samsung South Africa Twitter account that first leaked the account called it the much-less sucky Tab name. According to the source, the Tab/Tape will launch with Android 2.2 (Froyo), a 1.2 GHz processor, 4,000 mAh battery, 16GB storage/32GB microSD slot, and a Super AMOLED screen. Keep your eyes open for this one.
A couple of YouTubers contacted Italian Android website HDBlog.it to show how to take apart the Galaxy S. Why? No clue other than to appease gadget pr0n fans who like these teardowns that reveal the innards of new devices. The screws are removed, each part is dissembled, and each moving part is separated. Once our finger-nailed friend finishes tearing down the device, he puts it back together. Take a look at the videos below to see for yourself.
